Companies are constantly on the lookout for creative ways to market to different demographics.  When it comes to kids, what better way to do that than using the medium of webcomics? Nike's Air Jordan brand is the latest corporation to employ online comics for their ad campaign that targets teenagers.

Centered around Marisol Garcia, their newly-appointed Jordan Brand ambassador, MariSole  is a 4-part webcomic series created by Robyn Smith, Jamila Rowse and Jordan Dinwiddie. It chronicles the life and times of Marisol, a 16-year-old Dominican-American teen from Washington Heights whose love for sneakers knows no bounds. Aimed at marketing Nike's Hyper Royal Jordan 1s, the webcomic is published exclusively on Nike’s SNKRS app.

The first issue of the comic can be viewed here.
