Nominations for the  Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards in the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con have been announced. Established in 1988, the awards are the comic industry's equivalent of the Academy Awards. Named in honor of  pioneering writer and artist Will Eisner, the awards recognize creative achievement in American comics in 32 categories.

Image and Fantagraphics received the most nominations: Image with 17 (plus 11 shared) and Fantagraphics with 19. In the webcomic category,  six nominees have been announced as follows:

Winners will be announced in July in a virtual ceremony as part of Comic-Con@Home.
